In 2018, Wang is a Founding Editor of an international journal: Queueing Models and Service Management (QMSM), and serves as editor-in-chief of QMSM. Wang also served as Associate Editor of Quality Technology & Quantitative Management (QTQM) and reviewer committee members of several well-known journals. The research focuses on the field of queuing theory and reliability. At present, more than 120 journal papers have been published, including many SCI-level journals such as Omega, Microelectronics and Reliability, Naval Research Logistics, Journal of the Operational Research Society, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers and Operations Research, International Transactions in Operational Research, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematical Modelling, Mathematical Methods of Operations Research, Applied Mathematics and Computation, International Journal of Systems Science, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, Reliability Engineering and System Safety, and  etc
