Asia University Foreign Student Admission Scholarship Guidelines

1 Scholarship Types and Benefits

2 Eligibility and Application

Item Guideline
Eligible Applicants International students who do not hold R.O.C. nationality and do not have overseas Chinese student status
Application Procedure The International Student Scholarship Application Form must be submitted together with the application for admission.
Evaluation Criteria Academic performance, language proficiency, research achievements, other outstanding performance, and the department’s evaluation
Approval Procedure Applications are reviewed by the relevant department and the University Admissions Committee and are subject to final approval by the President.
Concurrent Scholarship Restriction Students receiving a full scholarship from a Taiwan government agency are not eligible to receive this scholarship concurrently.
Scholarship Availability Scholarship categories and quotas are subject to the University’s annual budget and official approval.

3 Maximum Scholarship Period and Renewal Requirements

Bachelor’s Program Up to 4 years 75 or above in the previous academic year Maintain satisfactory conduct and enrollment status
Master’s Program Up to 2 years 80 or above in the previous academic year Type A and B recipients must have a paper accepted or published in a Scopus-indexed journal or conference proceeding within one year of enrollment.
Doctoral Program Up to 3 years 80 or above in the previous academic year Type A and B recipients must have a paper accepted or published in a Scopus-indexed journal or conference proceeding within 18 months of enrollment.

4 Scholarship Reduction or Disqualification

Previous-semester conduct grade below 80 or receipt of one minor demerit Scholarship reduced by one level
Previous-semester conduct grade below 75 or receipt of one major demerit Scholarship cancelled
Failure to complete registration, deferred admission, leave of absence, transfer, or withdrawal Scholarship eligibility cancelled
Resumption of study following a leave of absence Continuing scholarship eligibility cancelled
False or forged application information Scholarship cancelled, and all scholarship funds received must be repaid
