Welcome to the Department of Business Administration at Asia University!
On behalf of the Department of Business Administration faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to our department. I am tremendously proud of our department and its vital contributions to the overall mission of Asia University. I trust that this site will provide valuable information about our programs.
The department was established in 2002. It is the first established department in middle Taiwan to offer a master’s degree program in terms of “Business Administration.” The department is part of the College of Management, itself one of the largest colleges in the University, with over 2,000 students. We have a very active and vibrant department consisting of 37 full-time faculty contributing to student education at all levels. We offer degree programs culminating in the BS, MBA and Ph.D. degrees. Our student population currently consists of approximately 750 undergraduate majors and over 150 graduate students. Our department strives to achieve excellence in its mission of teaching and cultivating management professionals. We are committed to providing highly qualified teaching skills and extensive learning and research resources to our students. Our programs offer a comprehensive education in both theoretical and practical aspects of management through high-quality facilities of the department and comprehensive guidance of professors, in hopes of preparing students as lifelong learners and competent professional workers who are capable of solving complex problems and of making strategic and ethical decisions in a global business context.
The department consists of a group of highly qualified faculty with a diverse set of expertise. Our faculty is firmly dedicated to offering all students an excellent education while pursuing competitive research agendas. In the past few years, the department has been fortunate to add a number of new promising assistant professors. Our faculty holds ambitious research agendas, publishing in leading management journals, and regularly attending national and international academic conferences.
Within the department, students have access to an innovative curriculum with an opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and even a doctorate degree. At the undergraduate level, the department offers three concentrations: “Technology and Organization Innovation,” “Marketing and e-Commerce,” and “International Business.” We are also proud to offer comprehensive and flexible graduate programs aiming to develop masters and Ph.D. students in a number of different specialty tracks of their interest. Our recent graduates have gone on to successful careers in a wide range of areas, including private industry, government agencies, educational and research institutions.
The department fosters an internationally friendly educational and research environment where international students and domestic students interested in management fields work together.
